Focusing on surf photography, with concentrations on documentary and portraiture, Ryan Fields creates minimalistic photographs filled with nostalgia. He travels, surfs, and photographs the vast open spaces of the California coast and is passionate about environmental issues such as climate change and ocean protection. Inspired by 70’s surf culture, using film and digital techniques, Ryan creates dreamy imagery through geometric elements and stylized toning.
